Our teaching approach combines traditional methods with innovative techniques, ensuring that students not only grasp mathematical concepts but also appreciate their real-world applications. The department supports students in achieving excellence, whether they are preparing for examinations, pursuing advanced studies, or applying mathematical thinking in everyday life.
Humanities Department
The Humanities department at The King’s School Vattanacville is divided into two core subjects: History and Geography.
Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Studying Geography gives skills for life, as students will learn to identify problems, analyse data and suggest solutions. All these skills are highly valued in the 21st century. The aim of the Geography curriculum at TKSV is to educate pupils of their role as global citizens, to explore their values and responsibilities to other people, the environment and the sustainability of the planet.
Meanwhile, History at TKSV encourages students to think critically about the world today; how has our past affected modern society? We aim to equip students by developing their knowledge and understanding of the past and helping them understand how and why things have changed. We want students to develop a love of learning as well as build their enquiry skills; learning to evaluate evidence so they can reach their own supported judgments and opinions about key historical events.
In both subjects, our pupils are encouraged to think and study independently through field work enquiry, decision making, debate and research in order to understand the complexity of the problems we face both today and as future leaders in our ever changing world.
Arts Department
