Sovanreasey Ratanaram Pagoda (also called Samroang Kandal Pagoda) is located in Samroang Kandal Village, Sangkat Samroang, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh (formerly located in Samroang Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province). This pagoda has an area of 5 hectares and 40 a, which is bordered on the east with the Borey Phum Samroang, on the north and west connected with Samroang Kandal village

In the past, this pagoda was on a hill near the lake. There were no pagodas in this area for residents to perform rituals. Therefore, the residents living in this area want a convenient pagoda for celebrating festivals. Later, there was a consensus to transform it into a pagoda for celebrating festivals and a place of worship. When it became a pagoda, monks were seen staying there for the Buddhist community, and there was a monk named CHHUN who also lived there (at that time he was the chief of the Buddhist monastery).
