Currently, Preah Visoth Thivong Ou Sok Eng resides at Sovanreasey Ratanaram Pagoda, located in Samroang Kandal Village, Sangkat Samroang, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.

When he was 10 years old, Ou Sok Eng came to live in Samroang Kandal Pagoda in order to study. At the age of 12, he was ordained as a Buddhist Novice (Sãmanera) in Tep Rainsey Pagoda, also known as Prek Taten Thmey Pagoda, located in Prek Taten Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province with the preceptor named ON HIM. At the age of 17, Venerable Ou Sok Eng went to study at the Disciplinary School for three years, graduating with a Three-Major Classes at Prachum Sakor Pagoda in Sangkat Chroy Changvar I, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.

At the age of 20, he became a Buddhist monk (Bhikkhu) at Ta Ork Pagoda, Chhveang Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province, under the guidance of Venerable Noy Chreuk, Preah Vinay Thor of Ponhea Leu District, with the support of Mss. Tim Samy (Upãsikã) and Mss. Nuch Siratha (Upãsikã). Then, in 1999, he came back to reside at Sovanreasey Ratanaram Pagoda and undertook the role of chief in a Buddhist monastery, a position he has maintained up to the present day.

Currently, Preah Visoth Thivong Ou Sok Eng resides at Sovanreasey Ratanaram Pagoda, located in Samroang Kandal Village, Sangkat Samroang, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.

Venerable Ou Sok Eng has achieved significant accomplishments at Samroang Kandal Pagoda through leadership, management, and the construction of infrastructure, roads, and irrigation systems, both within the Buddhist community and the broader empire. In recognition of his contributions, he has been honored with various merits and medals, such as:

  • Received the title of Preah Vichet Satha (Honor Rank), and Advisor to Samdech Preah Akka Moha Sangkha Reach Thea Thipdey, Tep Vong, Samdech Preah Moha Sangkha Reach of the Kingdom of Cambodia
  • Work Medal
  • Sovathara Medal, (Thip Din Rank)
  • Medal of the Kingdom of Cambodia, (Thip Din Rank)
  • And currently received the title of Preah Visoth Thivong, (Chatvaa Rank)
