World Vision addresses this by promoting financial stability for families and changing attitudes toward education.

To improve literacy, World Vision uses assessment tools to measure reading proficiency in grade 3 students. A 2018 survey found that only 39% read with comprehension, while 46.5% were non-readers and 14.5% were beginners. Collaboration among families, schools, communities, and sectors is essential for children’s learning from early childhood to adolescence.
